The Pula depreciated by 3 percent against the South African rand and appreciated by 2 percent against the IMF Special Drawing Rights (SDR) over the one-month period to November 2022. It appreciated by 4.2 percent against the US dollar, 2.1 percent against the Chinese renminbi, 1 percent against the British pound and 0.1 percent against the euro, while it depreciated by 2.4 percent against the Japanese yen.

Over the twelve months period to November 2022, the nominal Pula exchange rate depreciated by 3.8 percent against the South African rand and 2.1 percent against the SDR. Against the SDR constituent currencies, the Pula depreciated by 8.1 percent against the US dollar, while it appreciated by 12.4 percent against the Japanese yen, 3 percent against the Chinese renminbi, 2.3 percent against the British pound and 0.4 percent against the euro.
