Risk Management and Planning Division

The Risk Management and Planning Division supports the Bank’s vision of becoming a world class central bank through delivery of a risk-focused strategic planning framework.

The Mission of the Division is to spearhead and coordinate the bankwide strategic planning, risk management and business continuity functions and processes. The Division fosters the development of a framework, systems and strategies for effective medium-term planning, risk governance and communication, and  disaster recovery in collaboration with other Departments and Divisions in the Bank.

The Division has three distinct responsibilities:

  • Organising, coordinating and monitoring activities relating to the preparation and implementation of the Bank’s annual and medium-term planning programme;
  • Defining a risk management assessment process and execution and communication of related governance functions; and
  • Facilitating the execution of risk management (including business continuity planning) processes and infrastructure as a key to achieving the business objectives of the Bank.


The Division leads and facilitates the Bank’s planning process with the view to ensure a coordinated development and implementation of the Bank’s strategic and operational plans. Ultimately the Division ensures a risk focused and integrated planning, budgeting, performance evaluation and reporting process. 

The head of the Division reports directly to a Deputy Governor.
