DCI rises by 1.02 percent

The Domestic Company Index (DCI) closed the week ending February 3, at 6 970.56 points, up by 70.61 points (1.02 percent) from 6 899.95 points the previous week.  Continued strong demand for the recently-issued shares in the Choppies supermarket chain, which gained 16.13 percent during the week, helped lift the overall index. For the year to date, the DCI has fallen marginally, by 0.01 percent. A total of 3 676 914 securities valued at P10 460 359 were traded during the week.
