As the name indicates, the National Summary Data Page (NSDP) provides a useful summary of a range of key national economic and financial statistics. The Bank of Botswana currently maintains the NSDP on behalf of producers of official statistics in Botswana, and the page is updated regularly to ensure that it includes the most up-to-date information.

Publication of the NSDP is a requirement for countries that wish to subscribe to the Special Data Dissemination Standard (SDDS) for producers of statistics that has been developed by the International Monetary Fund (IMF). This helps ensure that the pages produced by different countries are consistent in both coverage and quality.
